Medical house

What is a medical house?

A medical house is a multidisciplinary primary care practice where GPs, nurses and allied health professionals work together to provide you with integrated care in a familiar environment. From 1 July 2026, Huisartsen Blancefloer operates under the flat-rate system.

The flat-rate system in brief

In Belgium there are two payment systems for GPs:

  • Fee-for-service: you pay (part of) each consultation yourself.
  • Flat-rate payment: the practice enters into a contract with your health insurance fund and receives a fixed monthly amount per registered patient — regardless of the number of consultations.

As a registered patient, you pay nothing for a consultation, home visit or home nursing care.

Why did we choose this?

We believe in accessible, integrated care. The flat-rate model lets us invest more time in prevention, follow-up and collaboration with other care providers — without financial barriers for the patient.

What does this mean for you?

You register once and use Huisartsen Blancefloer as your regular GP practice from then on. Registration and consultations are completely free.
