What data do we process?

We process personal and health data that is necessary for the provision of healthcare, in accordance with the GDPR and Belgian legislation on patients’ rights.

Purposes

• Prevention, diagnosis and treatment
• Financial processing of consultations
• Accounting and practice management
• Scientific research (within legal frameworks)

Retention period

Medical records are kept for 30 years in accordance with the legal obligation. Other data is only retained for as long as necessary.

Data sharing

Data is only shared with other healthcare providers when necessary for your care, and with health insurance funds for reimbursements. Research data is anonymised.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correction and restriction of processing. Contact your doctor or submit a complaint to the Data Protection Authority.
