What data do we process?

We process personal and health data that is necessary for the provision of healthcare, in accordance with the GDPR and Belgian legislation on patients’ rights.

Purposes

• Prevention, diagnosis and treatment
• Financial processing of consultations
• Accounting and practice management
• Scientific research (within legal frameworks)

Retention period

Medical records are kept for 30 years in accordance with the legal obligation. Other data is only retained for as long as necessary.

Data sharing

Data is only shared with other healthcare providers when necessary for your care, and with health insurance funds for reimbursements. Research data is anonymised.

Newsletter

If you subscribe to our newsletter, we store your email address, the language chosen and the time of your request and confirmation. The legal basis is your consent (GDPR art. 6.1.a). You can withdraw that consent at any time via the unsubscribe link at the bottom of every newsletter or via the secretariat; we then remove the address from the list.

The address is used solely to send the newsletter and is not shared with third parties. The list is managed in Google Workspace, with whom we have a data processing agreement. This list is not linked to your medical file.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correction and restriction of processing. Contact your doctor or submit a complaint to the Data Protection Authority.
